cool Can't get my idle down

So I had to replace my pushrod cover last weekend and figured since I had the pump out I would tinker with it. I had already moved the timing up ran the screw into the collar and moved the fuel pin. I took off the collar on the fuel screw and ran it in alittle more. that made a world of differance I was getting smoke at full throttle and the truck really came alive, but it was very close to running away so I turned the screw in half a turn and that seemed to be the sweet spot. However the idle was crazy high I turn the idle screw down some and not much diffreance. I turned down again and still pretty high. I bumped the timing back alittle and that didnt help I really dont want to turn the screw back out. Is ther anything else i can do.

Lengthen the rod that connects the injection pump's fuel lever to the throttle bellcrank (the one that looks like a tiny tie-rod). Just screw it out till the idle drops where you want it.

Take out the screw all together lengthen the throttle linkage with the ball stud ends and move the stud to the other hole

is the idle stop on the leaver touching the casting yet? What I did was put both jam nuts on the back of the idle stop screw instead of having one at the front and once at the back.
