Put some Dye in the coolant passages, seal up the block, and pressurize....while the pressurized, get a spray bottle with soapy solution and start rolling the block over to look for leaks. Also check inside the crankcase also and the bottom of the bores.

Yes, stripped down, with oil cooler in place. They have all types of dye now. The kind that you can see with your eyes and others used with UV lights. VCap off all your openings....you can use the twist plugs, or the larger holes, cover them with gasket and plate. Shoot soapy water using just air, all over and look for bubbles. Then pour in some water and dye, and give it a shot. If theres any leaks what-so-ever, you'll find it between the 2.... After awhile, pull the cooler off and look inside. If theres a crack, you'll see the dye on that crack....

On the dyes, they have dye for the coolant, for the oil, etc. You can pick the stuff up at any good auto parts house. Napa always carrys it since they deal with commercial shops

When you pressurize everything, have a gauge screwed in, and let it stand under pressure. If it holds pressure, your good.
