Default Body Swap

I have 2 '91 3/4 tons, both w/Cummins!
First 1 W-250 w/3speed auto, body falling apart
Second 1 D-250 w/O/D auto, body no rust
How much trouble putting cab, fenders and box on the 4x4?
Wiringin engine compartment, cab, ect..?
I would like to know about how much trouble is involved. I have been a mechanic for +30yrs, but never been involved much with Dodge.
Thanks for any info!
Gary

The reason I ask is, are there any major problems I will have? Easier to change gauges in dash, or is everything pretty much the same?

everything is pretty much interchangeable. im currently restoring my 89 cummins with a 87 gasser. its not too bad. wiring harnesses arent too bad. it should be pretty easy since you have the same year trucks. ur gunna have to make a decision as for what to do about ur 4x4 wiring from ur 1st truck and/or the o/d wiring from ur 2nd truck. but if you dont really care about having a 4x4 indicator light then dont worry about it. just use all the wiring from your 2nd truck and you should be good to go.

heres the link to my thread on what ive done so far. Here's my Cummins build/restoration - Dodge Cummins Diesel Forum

Roll it outside and lift off with tractor and loader. Hope the door jams and cab roof will hold with a 2x10 plank. Should not be that heavy, Yes No?

eh it might but to be on the safe side i would use 2 of them side by side or or slid all the way forward and the other back. i did the same thing with our backhoe but i used 2 tow straps that way when i took my old cab off and put the new one on and it was fine. just to move the old one around the yard we tried one strap and it kinked the cab up like nothing.

Deal fell through, at least for now. But I did score the D-250. Pretty sweet truck. I think! No rust, rebuilt I-pump and some transmission work. Guess we shall see if it is as good of deal as I think or if it turns into another mess like my '89! I do need to pain the grey on the sides and tailgate. The rest of the body is very nice. Thanks for all the advice!
