93 First Gen mods??
Hey fellas, I recently broke down and bought a diesel. Landed a great job and said hell, why not.... anyway Its a 93 d350 auto. One owner w/ 160,xxx. Its in perrrfect shape. He recently had a brand new hx35 put on it w/ all new tubing, etc. New brakes, tires, and always serviced by a highly accredited diesel mechanic. The exhaust is all custom and sounds great. Its known for the great sound and great looks within my four state area. I want to give it some pep. I love the truck as is but wanna toughen it up and give her some power. Does anyone recommend anything? And please remember i dont wanna blow this thing to pieces so be sure to be specific.
I was a gasser. New to the Diesel world. I really appreciate any help i can get and thanks for takin the time to read this. Thanks

I'd invest in a new, tighter aftermarket torque converter and keep it handy for when the inevitable comes after you start making some power. 1st Gen autos are their weakest link. BC847 is a good 1st Gen trans guy to talk to. I think he hangs out mostly at 1stgen.org these days.
I wanna go BIG! head studs, injectors, etc. Thats where i need ya'lls help. I see everyone has different gov springs and everything. but i dont know what combos work with what. Its kinda hard to explain. Im basically a freshman in a senior class here. (for example)
All the more reason to do the trans work first - unless you just like breakin' stuff.
You can put all the fuel you want to it with twins and everything else, but it ain't gonna do much if the power doesn't get to the ground.

Ha. Couldnt agree more.
thanks

Just read through the sticky, there is alot of good write ups in there. You can do some of the basic/free mods in the meantime before you go "big". Like mentioned before, get some gauges, do some studying, then start tweakin. Good luck!
