12 Valve lope..?

It was just a simple question, can't bash someone for trying to figure something out. That's what the forum is for, not everyone on here pulls sled or runs the strip.

From what columbus diesel has said it has to do with injection pressure but, thats about all they say. They mentioned gov. springs and delivery valves can make a lope. They are building a p pump for us with a lope in it per customer request. They must be able to see something on the bacharach or whatever bench they use to know wether it will lope or not. I can only speak for the p pumps, not very familiar with ve pumps.

With the p pumps it has something to do with the pressures in the dv's and pop pressures in the injectors. With the newer pumps it is because the system is searching "hunting" for the fuel to idle correctly so it is pumping more and then less fuel repeatedly through the cycle. As far as the ve I have no idea.
