Default Cost of P-Pump conversion?

I have a buddy that wants to convert his ve pumped truck to a p-pump. He has found all of the parts from a engine with 150,000 miles but the guy wants 2,000 for all the parts is that to much i think it is but thats just me?

he can buy a good running p-pump motor for that price and swap them

the conversion stuff should run a guy 1000-1500 if its real nice stuff

I there is a write up in the sticky about how to do the swap and the cost. I want to say the guy paid 1200 for everything.
