Default cab AC interchangability

Hi, I may be buying a 1985 Gas truck for the cab that does not have AC. Anything major other than swapping the 1985 heater box out and swapping my 1989 heater / AC box in? I know older GM was a pain on account the cowl. Thanks, Artie

yes i believe the compressors mounted on the top or the left hand side of the motors in the gas rigs your better off finding a junked cummins than using a gas rig as far as everything else idk

Thanks, I just want to be sure that the blower box on the engine side of the firewall and the HVAC in the cab can be swapped from a non AC 1985 cab with a box from a 1989 to 1993 HVAC. I have several CTD rusty cabs (with AC) and want to put on a non rusty cab that doesn't have AC. I know this is a popular Crew cab conversion. Thanks for the responces, Artie
