so i killed my truck. i found a motor that was in a frieghtliner FL50 that im going to put back in. it has the same mounting set up as a big rig and a bell housing that will allow me to use a tractor trailer transmission. i have a few sitting around the house just dont know which one i want to use. going to have the drive shaft redone. body lift and 19'5 alcoa rims. i'm also looking at air ride for the rear. if anyone has any thaughts or ideas. i would love to hear them.

 

sounds awesome you should put airride on the cab like a big rig also what kind of motor is it

 

I've always thought something like a straight or super 10 would be sweet in a pickup... hell even a 9 speed would help tremendously towing... not to mention the cool factor... awesome idea bud... i don't have the funds so i would love to see this build... keep us posted..

 

Very awsome idea. except the 'super 10' way too much shifting for a 10 speed, just my opinion. but a 9 or 10 speed would be cool

Ive had an idea bout like this for awhile for a first gen Ext cab dually 4x4 and redo the whole truck black and redo interior black with low ride black leather seats that go in semi's that are air ride then lift the truck and put all air ride suspension then powder coat some alcoa 22.5's black with spike lug covers that are black also then try and put a small CAT or Cummins out of a small frieghtliner or somthin with a 9 speed..... it's on my to do list just waitin for funding to come through
