anything bad about mexico built trucks?
just found out my truck was built at the mexico plant and was wondering if theres anything different than the american built trucks? seems like i have more electrical problems than the american ones
Mine is henco el mehiko too, and nothing major wrong with my truck atm, but i do have a reverse light socket thats rusted beyond use. and the guy i bought it from straight up rigged half of the wiring in there. kind of a wonder anything works at all
It was discussed years ago on TDR that the trucks out of the Saltillo Truck Plant in Saltillo, Mexico were actually overall a better truck from a quality standpoint than the trucks out of the N. St. Louis Truck Plant.
...there was some Chrysler research to go along with it, but I cannot find the info now...it dealt with a corporate tracking of warranty claims and dealership service repairs by truck model, and final assembly points.
Either way, no you shouldn't have a problem with the Mexican trucks--they're fine.
