Default wait to start light flashing

I'm cruisin along, and my wait to start light start blinking on n off like a turn signal. I did just jump my buddies car, but nothing I don't ever do. Is something going out, or anything I should look for?

My truck does the same thing, there's a plug for all the warning lights, mine is loose, you can try to push it back on if yours is too, but it'll do it again. For meits my wait to start and water in fuel, and it only does it when its warm out, wont do it in the winter time

Default My wait to start light blinking too - did you find a cure?

Hey Billy D,

I just did a post and then started searching on google for others that might have solved this problem and your post was on the engines. In doing some fuel mods and my truck having been sitting for a while, I hooked a battery charger/starter booster to the battery thinking it might need it to get started due to having the fuel lines open and not having been driven for some time.

When I turned on the ignition and started, the wait to start light started behaving the same way (blinking) (see my new thread for details if interested). Did you ever find out what caused the wait to start light to start blinking on your truck? You mentioned you had just jumpered your truck to a friends car and I had hooked up a battery booster to mine and don't know what I might have done.

Do let me know if you found out what happened on yours if you would.

Thanks!
