Does this kit run off of the psi in the 3rd gear housing? I was looking into running a adjustable pressure switch for my tranny which would kit on the o/d when the pressure gets to the disired amount. i was told by my tranny guy its about the same pressure as is your speed so like 40psi would be around 40mph. this sounds like what you guys are talking about. this kit would just make my tranny swap much easier.

No, this just sends the proper signal to the ecm instead of using the tps.

will this kit allow me to forget about fabbing up/ buying and modding a 12v'r TPS, or do you still need the bracket and goodies attached to the pump.
The tps Delete kit and factory TPS will only work if you are using a Complete wire harness from either a 1st gen or early 2nd gen. What transmission are you using in this swap?

The pressure switches do work good. I take it you put a 518 in your 89... Ya, either toggle switch it or pressure switch on 3 way toggle will work just fine

yes sir. its not in it yet, its down at the tranny shop getting some work done to it. but ya im gunna run the pressure switch to have it enguage on its own and then a main on and off switch to over ride it and turn it off when i dont want it on. probly gunna us a botton on the floor for that so its easy acces. u know off a good place to get a pressure switch? at the moment im looking into the Hobbs pressure switch but its being a pain just to get ahold of a sales person.

I have a 96 47re from a diesel ram, and so far the wiring harness, ecm are all 99 Durango.
the durango ecm will control the 47re(at least its been done before)as long as the ecm gets TPS, Cam, Crank,Oil and Water senders. I have everything else covered, i think.

as for the TPS, not sure if the connectors are the same- gasser vs diesel, also not sure if the kit will "trick" the gasser computer the same way. but it does seem like it is worth a try.

but I have a bit of work before I am even ready to test drive.

Thanks.

sorry for the hijack, feel free to PM me or tell me to start a new thread....
