I was wondering if anyone knows the best way to take out the bushings in the leaf springs I ordered mine today so I have not took it apart yet but I was told they can be a pain in the a to change just wanting some ideas?

Default LEAF SPRING BUSHINGS ?

Could heat the spring slightly to open the eye up. Or use a wedge and drive it between the leaf and the eye to relieve some pressure on the bushings collar. It's going to take some solid hits, I removed the ones from my skyjacker springs and replaced them with urethane bushings. They came out hard enough being new so... Good luck

you can burn them out with a torch. but watch out the steel sleeve will shoot out when it gets hot enough

ya burn them out and use a air hammer and just push them threw, the i made up a tool big/ long threaded rod welded a nut on one end with big washers and press the new bushing in with that. works well if you have a half inch impact gun.

i did my front ones and they are polyutherane i believe with a steel sleeve that the bolt goes through. Mine were pretty stuck in there i had to drill outt the steel sleeve and work around the bushing and between the spring with a screwdriver to get it loose. It was a pain in the @$$
