both tires wont spin if you do not have a locker. you most likely have a dana 70 if you have a 250 series or a dana 80 if 350 series.

The DANA 80 wasn't available till the '94 and up models.

60 up front, 70 out back (W250 & W350).

The front axle does not have a locker or limited slip differential, therefore, the wheels do not lock together when engaging the hubs.

if only 2 will spin it means you dont have limited slip (posi trac) making the back lock. then if you are in 4hi only one front will spin, 4lo will lock out both fronts as well

Not quite, 4hi is just high range and 4lo is low. Nothing to do with how mant wheels in the front will pull. The only way to make both pull is with some sort of traction device, weatehr it be LS or a locker. From the factory none of our trucks came with front traction aids.
