how to ID a tranny?

how to ID a tranny?

im gunna be going to look at a A518 tranny pretty soon and im curious as to how to make sure it really is one when i check it out. Like is there a tag on it that says A518 or is there something else?

make sure it has the o/d section and you can look up some pics to see what see looks like i dont think there is any tags

ya i figured the o/d section but i just wanna make sure its not a gas job
