sorry to hi-jack but i have heard you can use a ford zf5 off of a power stroke? is this true bc i can get one for about 400$ fresh rebuilt

i have towed heavy alot with my 91.5 cummins. only problem i have had with the getrag was my boys broke the shifting rod off. i welded it back and no more problems.
