Any suggestions as far as what rings to use when i tear her down? Id like for it to not happen again. I realized my foot controls how long it lasts but is there a better ring/piston that hold up better?

Turbo seals can cause blowby.

Keiron, how long has the blowby been occuring? 'Cause if you just noticed it, I'd go straight back to where you just were and recheck those turbo seals.

Ive noticed it before the turbo went out, just never paid much attention to it. Im pretty sure its rings, Ive been getting horrible mileage lately, no power and I can hear a slight piston knock on cold start ups that go away when it warms.

That'll be it then. I don't know what rings you'll need, but I think you'll need to measure the bores first and see if you can get away with oversized or if you need to rebore the holes.

I wonder if there is something better than Cummins rings. Anything aftermarket that might hold up better?

I don't know, I haven't been down that road yet. Maybe calling Scheid's and/or any other engine builder you know of, (Haisley Machine, Ponci's Diesel etc etc) and ask them what they use.
