k so i have a 93 dodge automatic anyways i hit the ditch the other day and caved in the driver side front fender when i got everything rebuilt and rolled it out of the shop it had no over drive and when i shut it off it wouldn't start again i boosted it and it ran like a dream the alternator on it is brand new, later i found out the ecm is cracked could this be my problem? and if so is there anyway to bypass it because i have been searching everywhere for a new ecm and they are pretty much non existent and the ones i have found are gettin up in price and after rebuilding the front end i really don't have much money to play with also what all does the ecm cotrol in these trucks?

 

do you know for sure your pcm is cracked? when repairs were done at the body shop did they properly replace the grounds? or did they just put them on freshly painted/ primed surfaces? the pcm controls alternator charge, the relays that control most functions a/c shut off start tps o/d . computers in trucks suck :s, good thing we have this site to help.
