Default oil pan gasket

Has anyone changed an oil pan gasket? Service info says to remove the engine, but im wondering if anyone has a trick to make it easier.

I've heard you can lift the engine a few inches to change it. Are u sure it's the pan gasket? Mine was leaking from the front seal and the rear main housing, but it looked like the pan was leaking. Also check the vacuum pump/ pwr steering pump for leaks that run down to the pan, best of luck

X2 Lifting the Motor just a couple inches will make the world of difference in changing the pan gasket.
