Default More speedo problems

ok guys I'm new on here but have been following this site for some time now trying to figure out my speedo problems. it acts like a tach sometimes, but all over most of the time. Have replaced the vss two times, checked and replaced most of the wires to and from the sensor. It worked great around town with the second new vss once I got on the hiway it went back to its normal weird ways. Also the volt meter will not go above ten right after I start it, once I wind it up a little it pops to 13_14 and stays there. . .

The hardest thing for me was trying to find the new pins that go inside the plugs. My neighbor actually had some so I lucked out, the parts houses just all told me the dealership is the only place to get those. Instead of messing with the sixty pin ran a new orange and white wire straight from the back of the speedo to the vss. The other wire is where my problem could be, I have only replaced it from the plug by the heater box to the vss. That plug comes apart by taking out the rubber back then using a small pick from the front and pulling down the little tab for your desired pin then just pull the pin out. Mine had enough slack to pull the harness below the pickup , then just hooked a new wire to the old one and pulled it through til I had new wire at the vss. Installed the new pin, clipped the plug together, went for a test drive and it worked great for awhile, not for long though, hope yours works, good luck.
