There is a snap ring inside, just push on the shifter a bit and pop out the ring. Can be a PITA to get back in since u have to push down and insert the snapring at the same time

Lol ya I was missing the clip I had to go to like 5 different stores today just to find one motion industrys out here in Tracy had some and ha ha they just hooked me up with two

Now only if I could find the two bolt/pins what ever they are called I will be set besides making a shifter for the handle
