Default Transfer Case issue

Today my drivetrain started to make a bad noise and shake goin down the road between 35 and 50 mph . i got underneath and checked it out. i think the problem seems to be coming from the output shaft from my transfer case because there is a hell of alot of play in it and its very sloppy . so i think it might be the front output shaft ball bearing. im just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if you did how much of a pain is it to change it out. or could it be something else? any help would be great. thanks.

I was just wondering if maybe the nut on the yoke had come lose or is it just the shaft that has alot of play?

A friends 89 t case started roaring. He relaced the bearings and chain and the roaring stopped. Could just be a bearing.

ya theres alot of play with the shaft. really bad. im pretty sure its the bearing. do you think its not to bad of a job besides dealing with trying to get the transfer case out?
