Default Tach install on my 92

I have the plug under the dash can i pick a tach at my local auto store and will it work if i use the Plug under the dash? or do i need a Diesel tach

I have a Sunpro that was in a gas truck will it work? if hooked up to the factory plug/wires?

Not as is. The pcm signal is 5 volts. Most tachs will not read the low voltage. So I am told.

agree. you need a 5 volt tach. I have plans to make a adapter with a few transistors one of these days. For now 5 volt is the only option.
