Hi im new to this site and new diesel owner here is my problem went out and started my truck thursday was very cold out 15 deg. fired up not pluged in it started to sputter so i jumped inside to bump up the idle and it died wont start back up cranked and cranked so i pluged the heater in overnite and put battery on charge went out today about 39 deg out cranked and cranked turns over very very fast? still no hit or any sign of starting no smoke so i cracked the air breather open sprayed just a squirt of ether and it acted like it wanted to start i give up i dont know alot about diesels please any help would be grateful thxs

 

crack your number 1 injector line on ur injector and crank ur truck and see if fuel is comin out. if theres a good bit comin out tighten it back down. id check them all just in case. next id check ur fuel filter could have all sorts of junk in there. if both of those are not it check ur lift pump. dont use ether get a rag soak it in gas well dont soak it but get it wet and put over ur air filter or wd40
