Yuo don't want this to happen
And it will if you turn that screw to far.

buy your self some guages!! this is a must for any truck, stock or upgraded. it is always nice to know how your truck is doing and you need to watch EGT's after turning fuel screw. boost guage is necessary after tuning the star wheel. you dont want to turn it to much and have too much boost which will cause your head studs to fail and an expensive repair.

jdbigblue12v :

Doesn't the stock turbo set up use a waste gate? How would this over-boost condition occur?

On another topic, what is the maximum boost these trucks can generate (or should be generating) with the 3200 governor spring and stock turbo set up?

i removed the washer but decided against removing the spring, i tow some and didn't want to burn half my tank every time i take off.

I got a big issue. started out turning the fuel pin. i turned it correctly, no boost leaks, all was well i thought. when i went to test drive it it had no ***. would barely get rpm's to climb... i was told to adjust the full power screw... it got my power and throttle response back but now my idle is too low and wont rev out all the way. any ideas?
