Question What govenor spring

Do you guys think I should get a 3200, 3800, or 4000 govenor spring? They all cost the same. Thanks

anything after 3200 the fuel curve starts to fall off on the VE pumps so if you spin 4K you will just be making more noise

ya 3200 is about it thats still reliable on stock parts. past that valves will float and you run the risk of the rods thrown themselves thrugh the block

But if you wana go real fast mph its not a bad option..


MPH in drive 3rd gear 70-90mph 3200gov spring
MPH in drive 3rd gear 80-100mph 4200gov spring

Overdrive hang on....

ya I run a 4000 spring but you may go faster but with little power in that RPM range if you were building a salt flat truck then ya spinning 4K is worth it for drag racing no difference I still shifted at 3500 RPM you can actualy feel the truck loose power when its tuned right
