Default Injection pump question??

Well i rotated the fuel pin last weekend on my first gen and love the results, but it just doesnt blow quite as much smoke as i want, its close though. So ill probably turn the star wheel this weekend a little. so i was just wondering, how much hotter will it run? and how much higher in rpm's will it be from stock? Could turning it cause a runaway?
Really dont want to mess with a runaway or haveing to lower rpm so thats why im not messing with the fuel screw. Just incase it is running to hot or is to high on rpms i am running gauges, but i wanted your guys imput on the subject.
Thanks for everything :-)

Mines all the way cranked. Mine smokes like a garbage truck, but i cant say if thats from the starwheel since i did all my pump mods at once. It wont runaway though I can tell you that.

there is alot of information on this, you can Google the results by typing in( turning up ve rotary pump for diesels)

the star wheel will not cause run-away.

as for fuel mileage, that depends on how heavy your foot is.

if you would like to increase smoke (smoke is waisted fuel, not good, at least thats my opinion, I try to have as less smoke as possible) you can buy a fuel pin, I do have a Denny T fuel pin and have like the result since day one, there is another pin (Bully dog) don't own one but I'm sure it will give you what you want.

when it comes to giving your truck some upgrades, do alot of research and ask alot of questions before you start on anything.

Best of luck to you
Mike

You know i didnt notice a difference. The amount of fuel you give your truck will depend on your pump mods. you increase fuel you increase idle speed. Lower your idle down and your back to square 1. so now it just depends on your foot. I have 5x14 injectors and that actually increased my mileage, but when you put it to the wood watch out!
