i cant tell you is the pedal will work or not since i have a chevy but i dont think they will. as for the swap its pretty straight forward.
'youll need a transmission, bellhousing, clutch master slave and line, new trans crossmember, 5 speed drivelines, clutch pedal and clutch/flywheel. i think thats about it

if your going with an nv4500 that is correct. if you run a getrag you dont need it
ok so im off to get pedays out of my buddies 2nd gen still need a 5 speed have a line on a 4500 out of a 2nd gen dodge for 6 bills but still lookin for getrags to
already have slave and throw out and clutch and and nv4500 with a snapped input shaft

i think you can get billet input shafts fairly reasonably priced. i see them sell used for billet ones for like 3 or 400 bucks fairly often
You do know that if you use the 2nd gen block adaptor (plate), to run the NV4500, you need to use the starter, as well, right?
The block plates are the same for autos or manuals.
You'll also have to tweak the top of the framerail up to get the starter to clear the rail.
Noone mentioned the transfer case.
There is an automatic and a 5 speed version in the 1st gen Cummins era trucks.
The Dodge automatic NP205 transfer case has a 23 spline input, the 5 speed has a 29 spline input.
You either need the 29 spline case, or have a conversion coupler built to put the auto one behind the NV4500 or Getrag.
Another option would be to find an NV4500 from behind a '92-'02 Dodge GAS (NOT V-10 gas) application, which is a 23 spline output and has a 1-1/8" 10 spline input, in '94-'02 and a smaller diameter with 19 splnes in '92-'93.
This trans is usually found in 3/4 ton V-8 Applications, but was behind V-6 1/2 tons in '92-'93.
The input would need changed to the diesel 1-1/4" X 10 spline version.
It wouldn't be the ideal choice to pull sleds with.
On the input on your broken tranny, you don't have to completely dis-assemble the trans to change the input.
It comes out after you remove the bearing retainer, just twist it around a bit, while pulling, and it's out.
Mark.
