Default engine numbers
what do the numbers on the side of the engine mean? me and a buddy both have engine number 060 both are 92 2wd ext cabs his was a 3/4 but its now a 1 ton.

Are you talking about the number on the valve cover or the tag on the timing gear case?

its on the valve cover if im on the drivers side workin on the pump i see it plain as day.

I always thought it was an inventory sticker or date code. I've never really thought about it.

i have no idea just thought it might have sounded odd for two trucks to have the same number.
