Default fuel pressure regulator for piston pump

What regulator are you guys using for the 2nd gen liftpumps?I got one real cheap,And i was wondering if i could make a regulator for the system.

I was also wonderingf if anyone has successfully changed or altered the spring internally to something lighter to drop pressure.I was thinking of grinding some spring off the ends till i hit 15psi when priming.

You could try it, but I would dead head it to a gauge with the engine running at 2k rpm before connecting it to the VE. Run a graviy feed from something for testing purposes.

I think a lot are running the Mallory 4307M -
You just need to T in a return line to the tank.
AND it's boost referenced so you should be able to maintain pressure better.
