There is also a high temp od cut out switch in the hot line that could be bad might want to unplug that and jump the 2 wires together and try that.

Don't jumper the wires - that'll drive the PCM nuts....
Just get a 1000 ohm resistor and wire it there instead.
Then the PCM will think the trans is up to operating temp all the time.

I didnt know that the pcm could read trans temp from that sensor I thought it was just a temp switch.

hey fellers, just an update, came to the conclusion it was the actual solenoid...the SMEC unit was telling the solenoid to go to ground for the overdrive upshift and it wasn't so now its in the shop getting repaired...i guess these solenoids are somewhat of a pain from what i gather...lets just hope the rest of the tranny holds! Oh, modified the air box, cut away just about everything except teh bottom bracket holders to hold it all in place and man what a difference, already had the k&n on there but just wasn't gettin enough air through that littel 2x6 cutout on the factory box!!!
