Default 93 cummins

i screwed the smoke screw in and now the when you rev the truck it takes a long time for it to return to idle. checked all linkage it returns as soon as you let off but the revs stay high and idle down slowly. whats wrong with it

the smoke screw shouldnt do that thats a full power screw related problem.

ok im a p-pump guy. its the one with an inch long tin cap that you have to break off and use a 13 mm wrench and a 6mm wrench to adjust.

no its towards the rear of the engine on the pump. right above the injector lines at the pump.

i looked at some pics and it is the full power screw. do i need to screw it out some?

yes! turn it back until throttle control is back to normal

unless you wanna hear a cummins rev to 8k and hold till parts forcibly leave the block

got it under control. but it sure smoked more with it on the edge of runaway. can i put 215 injectors in this engine? how much would it help

the VE is only good for so much HP
but not for long
