Default 1st gen intercooler vs 2nd gen intercooler

does anyone know the size of the inlet tubes on a 1st gen intercooler? i am going to put 2nd gen tubes on it and havent had a change to see if theyre the same diameter yet.

i know my 2nd gen intake tubes are 3" and i want to say that the intercoolers for the 1st gens are 2.5"s. anyone know?

or even better has anyone ever put a 2nd gen intake horn on a first gen with the 1st gen intercooler? and were there any major problems and did the factory intercooler boots from a 2nd gen work?

you'll need 2.5-to-3.25.

oh and budgreen if your using stock tubing youll have to lengthen the tubing.turbo side 1 3/8 intake manifold side like 1 7/8 cant remember exactly how much but somewhere in there when using the turbohoses adapters
