welcome to owning a first gen..... the fun never stops, our cummins dealer didn't even think anyone still owned a VE truck let alone wanted to make power from it

i had the exact same problem last summer i was coming home with a load of feed and it startted smoking when i was coasting to a stop light butt my truck died thought i was low on some petro chemical so i filled up and cracked all the injectors to get air out of the lines putt them back on and it started and ran like a champ for about a week then it did the same thing butt about every 2 or 3 miles all the way home. i figured it was the injector pump so i sent it in and got a new pump installed it and it still wouldnt start. please keep in mind i was 16 and didnt know anything about diesels, replaced fuel lines, dropped the tank and cleand it still nothing, soo i asked my friend that had the exact same kinda truck as me and he said i shoulda just checked the lift pump before anything turns out he was right if i had replaced the lift pump the first time it died i wouldnt of had to spend 1800 bucks on a new ip, you can get a lift pump at your local discount or orileyys for 35 dollars pretty cheap comparrison

the never ending broken truck.

I had it running till thursday when I broke the shaft off the head in the injection pump. shops cause was water in the fuel. waiting on parts again.

how do I get all the water out of my tank?

original problem was a lift pump. secondary i installed the pump one tooth off because the bosch dealer did not lock the pump at TDC.
