its ALOT of work. all of my stock gauges work but i added a mechanical water temp just for extra measure. i used a chevy alternator, which makes the voltage and tachometer work. i used the stock chevy oil pressure and water temp and just found adapters to fit them into the factory dodge locations. and speedometer is very tricky if you didnt use the chevy transmission. if you used a dodge transmission in it you just need to take it to a speedometer shop there is a special converter they will need to use for it

iI put a 90 cummins in my 89 Chev 1 ton...went in nice....built a 3" lift kit for the cab
also used delcoramie alenator....used adapters and used Chev sendouts...i usde Dodge trany and transfer...had new drive lines built..the Chev speed O cable worked in the Dodge transmission but is a few mph off...you can get the coverters at transmission shop as tltruckparts said...it runs like a dream...my 1ton Chev rides smoother then the Dodge 3/4 ton the diesel came out of

but if everything is already done but wiring the gauges you should be set.
