Default Two questions

ok I turned my pump up a while back and its got a high idle Igot a TINY TACK and its showing 1120RPS where should it be and second I want to know evry thing about the EATON FULLER/Road Range spliter ive watched that vid like 100 times on you tube of that 1986 1ton chevy dually how hard or easy is it to install one What gear ratio would be ok in the rear end?

idling it should be around 750-800rpm. if i remember correctly. and i want to do that eaton fuller splitter to my truck too!!! so i am just as curious.

id get it around 800 or so... i like mine a little higher because when its cold, it shakes your interior around a little less. just do it by ear probably and then see where your tach is .

For the 5-speed most set it at 800-850 rpm. For an auto I set mine at 750 or when teh mirrors stop shaking.

That idle screw is a pain in the a$$ to back off. What i did on your old pump was took a die grinder and ground down the front of it down untill the idle sounded right. And dont worry there is plenty of screw left so if you ever want to turn it back down.

Ya I noticed trhat when I was looking at the old pump for some reason I still think that one was better than the one I got on it dont know why but any body got info on the Eaton tranny

That old pump was turned up alot more than what it was suposed to be it would get it thats why it didnt last to long.
