Default ABS - BRAKE LIGHT

my abs light on the dash and the brake light are coming on when i use the brakes in reverse. and it feals like the power booster is not working but only in reverse. the only thing i can see wrong on the truck is a rear axle seal contaminating the brakes on one side. would that cause these symptoms or is something else going on?

the brake light comes on with the ABS light that part is normal. it is probably a wacky sensor in the rear. remember that braking in reverse is totally different than braking forwards. in reverse you are also self adjusting the shoes. it probably wouldnt hurt to pull the drums and peak inside. make sure everything moves freely and is lubed up.

good luck!

open the glove box
remove the glove box

The black ABS brain box. Truck will stop better without it. Then after that you can go and disconnect the brake lines on the ABS unit in the drivers side rear frame rail and couple them back together with fittings from napa. Also rebleed your brakes.
