in a 47rh 618 94-95 transmission the governor is different and maybe the valve body the VB would work if you put a diesel shift kit in it some say the front pump but looking in a after market parts book the other day it says its the same

by the reinforcement webbing on the housing (near the apply pistons) it may be a diesel spec trans. dont hold me to that, but i remember reading a post from RSwords saying that he talked with dave goerend and that the updated case has the reinforced casting with all the good internals. so it may be a diesel spec, 47RE or 48RE, i have no idea. wouldnt bellhousing depth be a pretty good judging factor as for V10 vs. diesel?

go ahead and post the pics, see if someone can properly identify the transmission rather than just guess. do you know what kind of condition its in? like were you told it was a good trans? i talked with a trans shop the other day looking for a 47RH, they said that cases alone dont usually sell for below a grand, so if its a good used trans it might be worth 1500 or better idk
