What Tranny is this???
4 Attachment(s)
So i got this transmission when i bought my truck. Just trying to figure out if it will work and what one it is.
Attachment 48918 Attachment 48919 Attachment 48920 Attachment 48921 Thanks for the help |
That unit is for a 1996-97, it will not work in a 92. Would need more pics of the bell housing & input area to get an exact match.

if it has more than 3 pins in the electrical fitting going in to the transmission then its a 47re. 2 pins = 518 46rh, 3 pins = 618 47rh more than 3pins its a 618 47re
|
im rather certain its a 47RE. it could be made to work in a first gen but its def. not a direct bolt in. u would need the engine adapter plate which will require the second gen starter and prob the flexplate. also this trans requires a computer to operate. its not an option. it would be much easier to swap in a 47RH as a computer is not required for it. still need all the second gen stuff though.
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- also to add to what ken said, it would be at least a 47RE with more than 3 pins. it could be a 48RE based only on that. |
Thanks for the help yea it has more than 3 pins the guy said it was out of a v-10 but if i got the banks shift module it should work? If not is anyone looking for one of these

The gasser version is going to require some changes to run behind a diesel. Torque converter for sure.
