I got a 1993 dodge 250. Love the truck!!! When i got it it started fine and started to take a second for it to shut off with the key in off position. Now when i start it in the morning it wont shut off. So i ran it for a while then shut it down under the hood. i drove it for about 30 miles ran perfect. when i tried to start it again it wouldn't turn over. The guy who had it before me said he did some key ignition work. I also looked at the shut off solenoid and it looks fairly new for a 93. Can anyone help me on what i should do if its either wiring gone bad or bad solenoid. And where can i get one? NEED YALL HELP THANKS!

 

I would gues shut off solinod.

 

If the shut off solenoid was bad it should still at least turn over that sounds like the ignition switch to me

 

Takes like five minutes to swap out the acutual ignition on these 93's. Try pickin one up from a salvage yard and put in, see how it does.

But remember, your door key will then be different so don't lock yourself out!
