with a good wiring diagram, it should be easy to figure out whats wrong with it and whether or not its the computer or not. find out what the wire that goes from the computer to do speedo does (ground flash, pulse, etc) and measure it with your multi meter. if you have no output at the computer you know what it is. and make sure and check for continuity between all the wires you could have just lost a wire connection somewhere

wtf???? the only thing i know about power levels is turning the chip up in my buddys 7.3L

haha its a scammer for world of warcraft. apparently they need even more people on that site instead of the other several million on there

so if the ecm goes bad then your mph and odo both quit working?? Because my mph work but the trip odo and the actual odo quit working at 201,xxx I no my truck has it fair share of electrical issues but don't really know what that would not work also the 4wd indicator light the wait to start and the water in fuel light do not work low fuel works the temp gauge bounces around after it's warm thanks for any help by the way it's a 92 cummins

I RECENTLY TOOK A USED COMPUTER THAT WORKED AND SWAPPED IT OUT TO SEE IF MY SPEED O PROBLEMS AND VOLTAGE REGULATOR ISSUES WOULD GO AWAY ..............AND NOTHING ......I THINK OLD WIRING .....IF NOT IM GOING TO CHANGE MY CRANK POSITION SENSOR AGAIN (WHICH WAS USED)....GOT MY HANDS ON A GOOD ELECTRICAL SCHEMATIC AND LOOKS LIKE A LOT OF FUNCTIONS RELY ON THE CPS TO BE WORKING PROPERLY ON THOSE 1ST GENS ...AND CHECK OR REPLACE THOSE GROUNDS ....ALSO TRY PULLING THAT ECM MULTI PIN MAIN HARNESS PLUG OUT AND CHECK ALL THOSE PINS ....I FOUND A BUNCH ALL GREEN AND RUSTED ON MY FRIENDS TRUCK CLEANED IT UP AND ALL OF HIS PROBLEMS WENT AWAY...ME... NOT SO LUCKY
