Default Prices of VE pumps?????

I am looking for a replacement injection pump, and have noticed a huge variation in the prices from one vendor to another. Diesel care and performance has a VE pump on thier website for 575.00, from there they can go as high as 1600.00, depending on the company. They all offer 1 year warantees, so whats the deal, why such a huge difference in price? Has any of you guys bought replacement pumps recently? If so could you tell me where you got them and how much. I even looked into rebuilding my own, but i'm not so sure about that idea. Thanks for your help

I would think if the price was 575.00 it would be the price with a good core return, the 1600.00 would be out right.

Thanks for the info, I was more afraid of buying a lower priced one and ending up with a made in china pos!, anyway, it would be nice to buy a high performance ve, but it's not in the budget right now.
