hmmm idk guys i'm at a loss... i'll see what the pump internals look like when i do the gov spring install and i'll let you guys know. i was also talking with a guy from CAT at work the other day and i had mentioned it to him; well he brought up a good possibility of it comming directly from the gas stations. he's ran into afew tanks with bronze in them and they happened to be gas engines. i'm really hoping it isnt the IP on its way out... that'll delay the turbo even longer... but i'd also assume if the bushing is showin that much wear it'd be taking a toll on the seal allowing diesel fuel to bleed off into the oil. and the oil isnt getting diluted. then again if the front shaft isnt being supported it'll affect gear mesh and it'd explain the noise that had developed in the timing gear cover a little while back. just hope it lasts afew more pay checks.. i'll just put a new IP on, cam it, spring it, exh manifold and turbo... drop 3k and be done with it
