Default Shift kit suggestions

I have a 93 intercooled with the AOD trans. Who has the best shift kit for these trucks? Trans shifts great, but seems to lag between shifts to much for my taste. i use the truck so for towing and general use. I have not modded the engine at all, YET. Trying to get everything else the way i like it before getting into the mods. Let me know your thought and what you have done please. Snakeater

Transgo, also look into a good convertor!

I have a local transmission guy that will most likely install it for me. I was wondering whether or not to do a converter. My truck is a tow vehicle not a sled puller. Snakeater

You factory convertor only trasmits about 60% of the power, While you might not need a full on race convertor a medium built one will help your truck tow 100% times better. I live my Georend I have in my truck, on the budget side of thing Hughes makes one for about $300 that is a great convetor for up to about 300HP.

It would be a nice set-up! It will work ALOT better then stock. Even for a bone stock truck an aftermarket convertor is a HUGE improvement.

I would do the Shift kit and the Convertor, ask around in teh vendors section about a convertor. For your set-up a Hughes would do you awesome, if you want to step up a little I reccomend Goerend.
