tranny problems
i just dropped the pan on my 93 12-valve its an automatic and when i looked in the pan a small spring and brass ball were rolling around in there anyone had the problem before?
If so, that spring and ball are part of the rooster-comb. That's the thing that holds the gear-shift lever in place. If yours is like most, the comb has become loose on its mounting and has allowed the ball and spring to pop out.

The comb can be re-secured by simply re-peening where the factory did . . .

I know how to adjust the bands, care to explain how to tweak the valve body? Thanks for the info.
