K&N air filters
Not sure were I heard this from, but, check the acidic levels in the oil, I think that is what the big problem is with using oil filters on diesels.
i run with a K&N, but i replace it ever oil change, 70 dollars is well worth it and not over oiling or having to worry about it.

I have an account with one of my local suppliers, total amount on oil, filter and air filter comes to 100.00 each change, not so bad for every 4000 or 3 months
I will be updating my filter to the Peterbilt intake in the spring, just a really big paper filter.

i bought a k&n for my truck when my uncle owned it. he bought the truck in 94' and that x-mas i got him the k&n, been on the truck ever since, well i took it off once and tryed an air aid filter and ended up putting the k&n back on. I have allways used liberal ammount of oil on it and so did my uncle, i just started doing oil samples on it (only every 6 months) and everything keeps comming back in the green, so i can't say the k&n is bad. but the bhaf does interest me think i'll have to get one and try it
