Ok hooked it up on a togal switch but it seems it only wants to work when the motor is up to temp. Once it gets in i can take it in and out when ever but only when the truck is up to temp.

 

That's a built-in safety for the OD section (temperature based).

 

How can i fix it or by pass it?

honestly i had the same problem with my 93 best way to repair it is 2 buy a new computer your OD is processed thru the computer i got one brandy dandy new for $250.00 from warnock dodge in morristown nj if u need the number ill get it for you in an email thats the cheapest i found it my truck had the same problem first my OD went then my alt replaced my comp & it cured it all
