Default Put pot in my 91 and still no OD

I put the Potentionmeter in my 1991 D-350 and still has no OD. What could it be?

i believe its just a solenoid on and off some one knows they have done it before

it is the three wire switch on the driver side of the tranny it is black with a orange stripe add a ground to that through a switch and bam lock up

No lock up on the 1st gen OD trannys... On the 1st gen trannys its only two wire also. I BELIEVE its the rear wire. Find which one has power when the truck is running and set the toggle switch up to ground the other when you want OD.

I checked the wire and it shows 12volts is that to high?

what wire?

The harness going into the tranny should have one wire at 12v all the time and the other wire gets grounded out when you want OD.
