Default pump spring 3200 or 4000 rpm

I've noticed two springs on the market a 3200 rpm and a 4000 rpm.
what is the safe speed to run a ctd without fear of damage???

3200, at 4000rom you need valve springs. Your pump wont make any power that high up anyway.

4250-4300 they come apart and shoot **** realy far

but i dont know that

I have been over 4000 rpm a few times with the stock valve spring and a 3200 spring and its still runnin.

I've done it too, Not smart but I've done it...

No real power up there though...

ive ran both springs and liked the 4000 spring better. not that i ever took the rpms that high, I felt the spring just made the truck perform much better. oh ya the 4000 spring is longer than the 3200 and should be shortened up to work right. believe me you will like it if you have a manual trans, never ran one in an auto.

my truck makes good power at 4000+ rpm
