Thanks for posting that dyno chart.. it's clear a lot of these guys don't know much about diesel engines.
Cummins rated all of the first gens at at 2500RPM
Second gen 12v engines were rated @ 2500RPM for auto and 2600RPM for manual.
You kids who want to run 4000RPM please go ahead and blow up your engines so we don't have to read your posts anymore. Heed the advice given by RS and other experienced people or you're going to float a valve and lunch the engine.

Some of teh p-pumped trucks turn 5000 and up.
Besides they just sound AWESOME that high... The 2nd run on this video was just above 3900.
