define lag; most guys get used to their stock lag and live with it... i always see a rating in lag as better than stock or worse than stock... to me when you say abit laggy it sounds worse than stock; but thats just my take on the lag scale if i could get a large turbine wheel crammed in a 12 Cm housing would that still pose EGT problems? i know 14 is one of those housing you "cant really go wrong with" but i as i'm sure most would like to minimize their lag and make the truck an animal right off the line... just trying to brush up on my turbo knowledge since i'll probably be in the market here before long... in the works of a job where i'll hav ea company truck and the 89 will basically sit around so i can dump my whole pay check in it if i so choose
If your goin to run a small (12cm) housing and want to keep top end power you need a good high flow wastegate to pass exhaust. I hear a 12cm is very nice for a manual truck that tows alot.
My silver62 is a little more laggy then the stock 18.5 H1C

what are the dimensions of that silver62? i'd like to get a nice turbo that cuts stock lag and can boost somewhere in the 40 range until i can intercool and twin it

i know a guy here local that is one of the nations best auto trany and twins builder he made a set S300 and S400 on a guys truck dyno 847hp a few tweks and 1275hp same day and he still holds the record in oregon for it now i didnot bleive it either until i herd the SAMEfrom 6 other people who were there
